All I want is a cup of coffee
Not long ago, I bought a cup of coffee at Starbucks and, as my two friends/co-workers who were with me at the time can attest, flew into a rage at what I saw printed on the cup.
Find out what made me mad and what I did about it here. (You have to scroll to the bottom of the page to see my contribution.)
Why can't companies just concentrate only on selling me better stuff for less money? Why do they feel the need to "promote dialogue" or "help the community?"
When companies do stuff like this, it makes me less likely to buy from them, and, if I invested in the stock market, it would make me sell their stock and not ever buy it again.
I am still going to this Starbucks because it is ridiculously convenient and close to HQ, but we will soon have our own coffeemaker in the office so we can break the tie (almost) completely.
