A good list; I enjoyed it. Glad to see you include Dwight's latest. The man produces an excellent (sometimes classic) album every year and gets very little attention, especially from "country" television and print. A real shame. Van's "Magic Time" is a wonderful album, one of my faves for the year. And the White Stripes album was a surprise to me: fun, raw, catchy, emotive, and unique.
I agree with you on quite a bit-but, would like to have seen you list Ray Scott's My Kind of Music. Most mature, rollicking, fun debut I've heard in some time. Great lyricists, and great band, too.
